Become A Driving Instructor

Becoming a driving instructor

It’s an absolute mine field out there at the moment when it comes to becoming a driving instructor. Johnson’s Driving Academy appreciates there are a lot of larger establishments that are charging £3000-£4000 to train to become a driving instructor with pathetic incentives if you qualify like £1000 back etc. The bottom line is only 1 in 100 potential driving instructors actually qualify according to DSA statistics. There’s a lot of reasons for these poor statistics, here are just a few: Large establishments doing 2 to 1 or even 3 to 1 training rather than 1 to 1 Large establishments putting trainee instructors in for the exams because they are only entitled to 40 hours Too much money spent by large training establishments on advertising campaigns on television and not enough money spent on training resources for the potential driving instructors Large establishments often place trainers in areas that they are un familiar with, so less opportunity to cover areas likely to appear on your part 2 and part 3 exams. Johnson’s Driving Academy work on a pay as you go basis.
